What did you Study?

Advanced Higher RMPS

Why did you choose to study it?

I found it interesting at school and the teacher who taught it was great. The subject taught us different ways of learning as well as morals.

What is your Occupation?

I work in Health Promotion for the NHS. My main role is a stop smoking advisor but I get involved in activities and programmes around physical activity, sexual health, oral health and mental health.

How did your study of RME (or related subjects) help you?

RME helped me gain a better understanding in seeing how everyone is different and that peoples views and beliefs come from different sources. It also helped me get to university and learn how to write essays before I got there.

What advice would you give to your teenage self?

Take any and every opportunity you can get. Even if you don’t think it will help you get your future job. Every opportunity and experience helps you grow and builds you a great foundation for the future.
